You Are Here: A Circle That Anchors Presence

At the entrance of Leiden, this large circular mural, commissioned by the ECC convention center, transforms the façade into a visual anchor. What began as a contemporary decorative intervention quickly became something else: a landmark. A point of orientation. A place people recognize, refer to, and return to.

In a city rich with history, You Are Here doesn’t compete with its surroundings, it reframes them. It offers a moment to pause, to look, and ultimately, to locate oneself, not in space, but in the present moment.

Born in 1977 in Paris, Anthony Jegu is an artist of various mediums (sculpture, illustration, photography). He is also a senior videographer and graphic designer, having worked in motion picture special effects, video production for the past 15 years.
